Wednesday as we were ready to 'head up the hill' from the school to the hotel, Doug spotted a man walking up the street wearing only plastic bags on his feet. We had just moved a barrel of shoes in the storage room, so Doug hollered for Jose to have the man stop. Then he went and got a pair of used but good shoes and gave the man. The photo shows him taking off the plastic. We bought him a cold drink and some food, gave him God's blessing, and watched him walk up the hill with good shoes that fit him VERY well.
Mission Work in La Palma, El Salvador La Palma is in northern El Salvador near the Honduran border. It is a beautiful mountain town with a great climate. We go there every 3 months to support the Iglesia de Cristo and the La Palma Christian School and to help the people gain a healthier lifestyle. We ship medical supplies and equipment to the region.

What a wonderful story! It just takes the heart of a servant and the eyes of Jesus to see the needs. The wonder is in overcoming fear (of whatever!)and using our resources to meet the need. When I think of Doug and Ralph in La Palma that's what I see.
