This is the mother and sister to Francisco. He is the 15 year old who was an alcoholic starting to do drugs. With your donations he entered a treatment program in San Salvador and is doing well at this time. He is not allowed to have contact with his family yet, but soon will have earned that right. Thank you for your donations toward his treatment.

For those who have gone to La Palma in the past, you may be interested to see the new look of the Montana hotel. A new owner took over in the summer and spent a lot of money upgrading it. It has a new roof, a cleaned up pool area, and a revampted parking lot. Also, room 1, the big one with the trees growing through the roof, has been demolished and 4 smaller rooms on 2 levels replace it. They still don't have much business, but it sure looks better.

Update on David and Fernando Gonzales, the two boys who were burned in Honduras and sent to the Shriners Hospital in Boston.

Fernando is doing very well. He attended church with his family in Ocotepeque Sunday. His scars are healing quite well.

David was burned worse, but he too is doing well. The Social worker says he will get to go home in about 2 weeks. The hospital has several Spanish speaking workers who have helped him as much as possible without his family near him. His burns are not going to be as bad as they earlier thought, and he will not be scarred badly.

He has been given a LOT of toys, and he will get to take them home with him. He can also take home letters that are sent to him and his brother, so please send them. Here is the way to get cards and letters to him and his brother:

Attn: Julie Solivan for David Gonzales
Shriner Hospital 64
51 Blossom Street
Boston, MA 02114

Let's show him our love in his last days at the hospital.

Milagro cooks on the stove outside her home. No sure--no idea--what the food is.

Lori and Reyna pose for a photo before the big pupusa feeding. As usual, the pupusas were GREAT!

Lori is shown with Alissa, Franklin's widow. Many of you have asked how she is doing. She says "OK", but you can see the stress has had an effect on her. She is still afraid to leave the house very often or for very long. The entire family was working on some wood/painting projects when we were there. Christian is working in the woodshop part of the time.
She came to Bible study at Reyna's house while we were there.
She needs our prayers and support.

Claudia was in a wheelchair all of her life. At 22, she told us she would like to learn to walk. We got her a good wheelchair to make her life more comfortable. A lady from Monett paid for physical therapy for her. Our nurses encouraged her. Our teams made her some ramps to help her mobility. A power hospital bed helped her get up alone. In June, Morris Ellis made her some parallel bars to practice walking. She is working to walk by herself, and can do it with a walker or other assistance. Here she gets help from Mom and Dad (Ana and Trini) to walk across the back of the church to a chair.
